About
Hi, I’m Liam, an experienced and BACP accredited Counsellor. My journey in the mental health sector began in 2009, and I became a qualified Counsellor in 2016.
Over the years, I’ve supported individuals from diverse backgrounds and all age groups, helping them work through challenges such as loss and bereavement, depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, relationship difficulties, stress and more.
My professional background includes leading teams and working within the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) sector, providing mental health and therapy support to hundreds of businesses and organisations across the UK. Alongside this, I have worked in private practice since 2016 and within the charitable mental health sector. Together, these roles have given me extensive experience working with a wide range of people and presenting issues.
In addition to one-on-one counselling, I have experience working with organisations, offering tailored mental health workshops, training sessions, and critical incident support. I believe in creating spaces where individuals and teams feel equipped to manage the emotional and mental health challenges they may face.
Having personally experienced counselling at various times of my life since the age of 17, I understand how challenging and transformative the therapeutic process can be. To ensure the highest standard of care, I am committed to regular clinical supervision, personal therapy and ongoing professional development.
Below, you’ll find more about my qualifications. If you’re interested in working together or have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
